I love this photo for so many reasons. I took this in Cades Cove near Gatlinburg Tennessee. I didn't use a very long lens to get this shot...I actually walked up close to them to get the pictures I took. It took a while and a lot of soft talking to the mother. Quite an experience! A friend captured a picture of me at nearly the closest point when i was talking to them and taking all the shots i could.

Deer are so cute and beautiful animals. I also love how the fawns are a mix of curiosity and fear when it comes to humans. Seen some that want to approach you, but others that are super skittish and will try to hide and call out for their mum.
